Intelligus Platform Supports Seafish Information Network

Seafish, the UK Sea Fish Industry Authority, have recently upgraded the Seafood Information Network (SIN), the most comprehensive single database of information available to the global seafood industry. Seafish are contracted with PFIKS to implement and host the service on its highly successful Intelligus Service for an initial period of 3 years.

John Rutherford, Chief Executive Officer at Seafish, is enthusiastic about the service: “The Seafood Information Network (SIN) is part of our renewed focus on listening to the needs of our industry partners and taking action. Consultation with industry revealed a requirement for a one-stop, easy-to-use comprehensive database of information about seafood, and that is what SIN delivers.

The Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish) was established by the Government in 1981 and is a Non Departmental Public Body. Seafish works with all sectors of the UK seafood industry – fishermen, seafood farmers, processors, distributors, wholesalers, importers, exporters, fish friers, caterers and retailers – delivering the expert knowledge, skills and support to help the UK seafood industry secure a sustainable and profitable future.

Seafish is the latest in a rapidly growing number of Government departments and agencies utilising the Intelligus Hosted service for Collaborative Workspace application.
